Personal Statement
I have lived in Newnham since 2019, ‘escaping to the country’ from Northampton where I was ‘born and bred’.
I am now retired after a varied career which began in public sector sports and leisure management before joining the Audit Commission as a ‘value for money’ inspector of public services. For the latter part of my working life I had my own management consultancy business. COVID lockdowns proved the catalyst to early retirement.
I now spend my time on garden-based projects, working and cycling in the locale, and generally enjoying a very contented and fulfilling life. I got involved in the Parish Council when there was a call for new Councillors, and then took over as Chair when Terry Regan retired. I find it a great way of getting involved in schemes and projects to maintain and enhance this lovely village.
